It is the policy of the IST Clinic to try as much as possible to adhere to appointment times and to limit waiting times. However, given the nature of the work, at times an emergency may interfere with the appointment schedule. In that case the reception staff will inform you and if you cannot wait, they will try to reschedule your appointment. In principle, members of the IST Clinic will receive preferential treatment in making appointments.
REGULAR OPENING HOURS

24 hours emergency servicesThe IST Clinic provides 24 hours standby emergency services, every day of the week (including public holidays). During this 24 hour period, there is continuously a nurse at the IST Clinic (+255-22-2601307). In addition, a medical doctor on call is always available on the emergency telephone line +255-754-783393.
AppointmentsAppointments with our general practitioners and visiting consultants can be made for the following hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PMYou can book an appointment by contacting our reception via +255 746 499 411 or +255 688 783 391, or sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
No appointments are made during the first hour of each day. This hour is intended for short consultations of relatively acute conditions and patients are seen on a “first come – first served” basis. Similarly, no appointments can be made during the last hour of each day unless specified by one of the medical practitioners.
In case of a medical condition that cannot suffer delay beyond the day of trying to make the appointment , the reception staff will attempt to secure a consultation for that same day. We do however request your cooperation in making timely requests for appointments. Under these circumstances we cannot guarantee that you will always be able to see the doctor of your choice, but the reception staff will try to accommodate your request as much as possible.
If you arrive without an appointment just before 9.00 am you will run the risk of having to wait until there is time available between consultations of patients who do have appointments from 9.00 AM onwards. In case you arrive without an appointment and a waiting time of more than 30 minutes is to be expected, the reception staff will inform you and ask if you would like to have an appointment at a later time.
