This looks like a fascinating place to visit. It is said, if by any change the flag changing ritual goes missed then the temple will automatically shut down for the next 18 years. Don’t ever lose your love for this place. However, apart from Ratha Yatra, there are some mysterious things that Puri Jagannath Temple remains the center of attraction for travelers from different parts of the globe. The Ancient Sound Proof Chamber is so fascinating. The food in the kitchen of the Jagannath Temple Puri is cooked in earthen pots. One more, the Chakra was designed in a way that it is visible from every direction of the city, Puri. A temple with some real mysteries to explore. I think it would be really fun to visit. This place seems incredible. It is unknown how a colossal chakra was brought atop of the dome without any mechanical help but only with human help. Also all of these facts and mysteries about it are so intriguing- I’m surprised they haven’t had a TV episode trying to get scientists out there to explain or debunk these phenomenons! It is truly an architectural marvel! The Sudarshan Chakra is installed in a magical way (architectural mystery) that it faces towards every visitor irrespective of the direction the visitor gazes it from. I wonder when I’ll be able to visit and see this for myself hehe. The main dome of the Jagannath Temple, Puri cast no shadow as if by a supernatural force that had exempted it from this terrestrial phenomenon. I do hope I get a chance to do so someday. Have been to Badrinath but the rest 3 dhams are pending. The architecture of the temple’s exterior is lovely, the appearance is colorful and unique. Apart from the Rath Yatra, the Jagannath Temple Puri is one of the Char Dham or four destinations which hold a prime place as pilgrimage centers for the Hindus. Puri Jagannath temple is considered among the char Dham pilgrimages (Badrinath, Rameswaram, Dwarka, and Puri) in India. Hmmm you’ve actually made me want to visit now just to see these phenomenons with my own eyes – surely there’s some type of ancient auroa or something which is making everything so. Taladhwaja – It is the ratha of Balarama. The Puri temple sounds pretty spooky to me. The flags defying the wind is one of the most interesting things that I’ve heard of. This Pillar originally stood in the precincts of the Konark Sun Temple. These were the mysteries of Puri’s Jagannath Temple which are still unexplained. This temple has so mysterious that I want to visit it now .
