Econ 10A looked pretty straight forward as well, the math is pretty basic (I think they only use partial derivatives and basic integration), so if you have some basic math skills you'll be fine. Cs 111 isn’t too hard if you’re comfortable with linear algebra, but 156 is much easier (if it’s the same as when it was still considered cs56), so I’d take 156 over 111 to make things easier.

It's a large school so classes are packed (100+ usually), research profs don't seem to care about students, food in dining commons is … UCSB courses with a "X" designation (TMP X 130A, X 130B, X 130C for example) do not count toward a Student's UC GPA. CS138 was pretty hard for me and the HW took a long time because of the proofs, but because I took it last spring the grading was pretty easy. This is what I experienced: Low amount of work: 170 (this one depends on the professor), 178, High amount of work: 130a, 130b, 138, 160. 130b is harder than any of the other classes op listed.
I found them both very easy, and most agree that PSTAT 130 is easy for CS majors, as it's basically a "learn how to program using this language" class for stats majors. But if you've taken econ 1 and 2 and do decent you don't need a B you just need a 2.85 which should be easy. Love the PSTAT 120B description, More posts from the UCSantaBarbara community. CS 138 is a pre-requisite to CS 160/162, so you can't take those concurrently. Another thing that I like about UCSB is that the big 4 recruit heavily there and I did a thing with PwC and I … I wouldn't call it a joke. You can squeeze in 138 in there too and knock out 3/5 of your courses in a single quarter provided that you're not doing anything else.

Generally I would try to minimize workload when you take 170 and take 154 before 170.
